Monitor News
Woohoo!!! Got one monitor fixed so now I can work on my game boards again! It was the vertical raster that was messed up. Found a fried resister that was the issue (R433 - a 2.2k resistor for those with a similar issue). This is the monitor that goes to my Japanese candy cab (see pics on posts below). It uses a Nanao MS8-26 monitor chassis. Took forever to find some schematics for it. If any other arcade enthusiasts need a copy of it, just let me know and I'll send you the link.

No smarter than anyone else! I went to school for electronics so I am just more familiar with that stuff since I work on the arcade games a lot.
Good for you! Change is always good if you feel like you are in a rut. There are days I wouldn't mind changing jobs myself.
