UPDATED W/PICS Just when you are about ready to give up hope.....

SALVATION!! I found a way to repair the Midway Sea Wolf game board (mentioned in my previous post). I have done so much to this board that I really don't know what the fix was. Just very glad to be done with it. I am going to let it run for a day or so to make sure it stays working. Then my friend will either come over this weekend or next to pick it up and take it home. Game is a little dusty but will clean up nice. This is a very fun and addictive game!

Sometimes fixing arcade games is a pain in the......

I have been working on a game called Sea Wolf. Very fun old game from the mid 70's. Very fun...when it works. A friend of mine wanted one pretty bad. I found one for him -non working- and said I'm sure I can fix it. Well, after about 4 weeks, I finally got it working. Then two days after that, it quit. I have been going crazy trying to figure out what happened. Problem is that it is very old and the documentation on it stinks. Very poor documentation. Been about 2 months now. I'm about ready to light fire to it. My friend thinks I should take pictures of it so he can remember what it looks like. I'll keep trying for a bit longer. Here is a link to see what the game looks like. See if you can remember ever playing this old classic. Midway's Sea Wolf

While in Florida.....

We drove down to Cape Canaveral and visited the Kennedy Space Center.

Pictured is Chris in front of the famous Apollo and Alfa spacecraft.

Finally ... Gatorbowl Pics

Sorry it's taken me a week to get these posted. Been on call this week and haven't had a lot of time. I will post a few pics here and if you would like to see the full gambit of pictures then click on this link: Gatorbowl Pics

This picture is a nice shot of the Nebraska end zone at the stadium.

This pic is of the drawbridge going across the St. Johns River leading to downtown Jacksonville. This was taken at night, but the flash from the camera makes it look like it was a cloudy day.

This pic is after the final play of the game. Scoreboard shows the final score of 26 to 21.

Here we have a shot of Chris Ruud.....brother of Bo Ruud. This guy would scare the hell out of me walking up to him on the street let alone on the football field.

Here is a shot of Paul (left) and Chris (not left) at Flagler beach. Made a stop before hitting St. Augustine.

Here I am at the famous Cocoa Beach. I think I am the only preppy looking idiot on the beach.

Just a note of thanks to Chris who put us up at his house for a few days. Couldn't ask for a better host or friend!

I have a few more "special" pics to post yet but won't have them done for a few days. Be sure to check back!

Gatorbowl Game Day

Wow....what an exciting game!! Was there to see it and had a great time! I am in Florida right now at my friend Chris's. Also joining us is our friend Paul from Ohio. I was hoping to post some pics of the game and surrounding area but Chris's pc can't handle the memory card my camera uses. I will post as soon as I get home.
Shortly after my plane arrived and my friends picked me up, we did a little pre-game celebrating at the Orlando Brewing Company. I hadn't eaten all day so I was feeling no pain when we left. Today we hit the road around 8:00am and arrived at the stadium in Jacksonville around 10. Great time to get there as we beat a lot of the traffic and it gave us time to roam around. Paul found a bar/restaurant across the street that served 44 ounce beers in a football mug. Tons of people there (over 67,00 in attendance). Pretty much even on Husker to Clemson fans. Both sides very friendly to each other. We sat on the Nebraska side and had 3 Clemson folks sitting along side of us. Congratulated us on the win and shook hands after the game. Great fans! Hit the streets of downtown Jacksonville after the game just to walk around and see some sights until the traffic let up. Beautiful developed downtown area. Reminded me of the Omaha riverfront renovations going on. You will see what I mean when I post my pics. Til then.... Congratulations to the Huskers & Happy New Year!!
